Overview

Eight Treasures Plaza Indonesia stands out as a refined destination for hot pot enthusiasts in the heart of Jakarta Pusat. Nestled within Plaza Indonesia’s South Gate on Level 4, this restaurant brings a modern and personalized hot pot experience to a bustling urban setting. The concept centers around individual hot pots, allowing each guest to tailor their meal with a choice of flavorful broths and fresh ingredients, fostering a unique dining experience whether you're solo or with company.

The menu shines with premium selections such as Wagyu A5 and Iberico Barriguera pork belly, offering richness and depth that cold cuts simply cannot replicate. The Collagen Soup and Pork Bone Peppercorn Soup stand out as broths that impart both robustness and subtle complexity. For those who favor seafood touches, the Wagyu Oyster and prawn paste deliver a fresh oceanic contrast. Complementing the protein are the assorted vegetables and mushrooms, which while noted to be a bit modest in portion size, still enhance the hot pot’s balance and texture.

Signature items like crispy unagi skin and assorted dumplings provide additional layers of flavor and texture, though reviews suggest the dumplings hover between adequate and truly memorable. For spice lovers, the mala broth offers a perfect kick that remains adjustable, catering to a broad palate without overwhelming.

Beyond the enticing menu, Eight Treasures crafts an inviting space designed for intimate gatherings or family meals. The private pot style encourages sharing and social engagement around the table, making it ideal for friends and families seeking a convivial culinary experience. Customers have appreciated the attentive service and the restaurant’s adherence to health protocols, reinforcing comfort amidst Jakarta's vibrant dining scene.

While some may find the pricing on the higher side, the quality of meat and the depth of flavor in the broths justify the premium treatment. The balance between traditional Chinese hot pot elements and contemporary personalization elevates Eight Treasures beyond a simple meal, offering an immersive culinary journey that highlights the joy of hot pot dining in a metropolitan setting.

Love their individual hot pot. I always order their prawn balls, really tasty. Their dumplings are so so. Vegetable portion is slightly small, given the price they charged. Still enjoy going this restaurant despite on pricey side.

Very delicious, rich broth, good quality, good portion, generous topping, and comes with reasonable price. Ordered dumpling, very tasty with full of filling. They also implemented good health protocol (due to pandemic) and give great services.

VERY GOOD TASTING FOOD ESPECIALLY THE PORK COLLAGEN BROTH!! The mala is also very yummy and not too spicy. You can always add more spice for free as you wish. It is expensive, but well worth it! I recommend you eat with family and or friends so you can share because they dont really portion all of the food per person, especially the hot pot.

Hot pot (火鍋)with various choices of base soups(湯底) Good quality beef, pork, shrimp paste, etc It's quite pricey but worth it. The best part is that you have your own pot,so you got your privacy on how you would like to enjoy your food.

A very delicious soup dishes they have. Cakwe Udang is a must try for starters! We ordered 2 kind of soups. The pork pepper soup and collagen soup. The Pork Pepper is my fave. It was my first visit here, but my brother 2nd visit. So he ordered the ones that were suitable for us. 6 of us, with 2 children. I should say that the meatballs were fresh and delicious. Pork, beef and fish meatballs. Pork Wonton is a must try! The beef slices were also nice. Fresh vegetables they served. The oolong tea was also very nice. I thought it was just ordinary tea, but it was not! They served peach squishy / icy dessert. Nice one!

This hotpot place came highly recommended by my colleague and it didn’t disappoint!! The collagen broth was absolutely delicious and is easily one of the best I ever had. The dishes (meat, prawn balls etc) were all of good quality and we left the place feeling very satisfied as it was such a hearty meal Do note that there’s only individual hotpot at this place as opposed to one main pot. Nonetheless it was still a nice experience and everyone should come here and try the collagen broth!
